If something is not working, please include your iPhone model, iOS version and the app version (shown in the app's Settings). Please do not attach recordings or transcripts: we do not need them, and they may contain other people's words.
Common questions
What do I need to use Saidkept?
An iPhone with iOS 26 or later. Apple Watch with watchOS 11 or later is optional; with it you can record from your wrist.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no account and no server. Your data stays on your iPhone, and on your Apple Watch until its recordings have moved to the iPhone.
How do recordings get from Apple Watch to iPhone?
They move to your iPhone when it is nearby. Each recording is deleted from the Watch only after the iPhone has received it and checked it. How long the Watch can record depends on its battery; the app shows what to expect.
Do I need to ask before recording someone?
Recording laws differ by place, and many require the agreement of everyone in the conversation. The app asks you to confirm this before every recording. Getting that agreement is your responsibility.
Which languages work?
English and Simplified Chinese, including conversations that mix both. The app's interface is in both languages, and you can choose the language of summaries separately.
How do I use my own AI key?
In Settings, add an API key from Anthropic, OpenAI, DeepSeek, Alibaba Cloud (Qwen) or Moonshot (Kimi). Before anything is sent, the app shows you the exact text of the request. Only text is sent, never audio, and the provider bills you directly under your own account with them.
How do I export or delete my data?
Open Settings › Your data. You can export everything, or delete everything on this iPhone. You can also delete a single person or conversation. Deleting the app removes its data from that device, but an iCloud backup of your iPhone may still contain it.
I moved to a new iPhone. Where is my data?
The app keeps no copy anywhere else. Your data moves with an iPhone backup or a direct transfer between iPhones. Before you erase the old iPhone, check that the new one shows your conversations, or export your data first. API keys stay on the old iPhone, so add your AI key again on the new one.
